There are no group of students more dedicated and
school spirited today on the Penn campus than the
members of the Penn Band. 80-100 members strong on
average, the Band can be found storming around
campus and the Northeast from the last few days of
summer break thru Alumni Day in May. Win or lose,
the members of the group are also diehard fans of
the Athletic teams they support through performance.
More often that not, the members can be heard
vocally leading the crowd in chants and cheers at
Athletic events! Also, the Band has an unbelievably
high rapport with the members of our Athletics
teams! Members of the Penn Band are not here because
of stipends, academic credits, or gym requirements -
they do what they do because they love Penn.

FOOTBALL
Football:
The Penn Band attends every football game
year in and year out. At home, the Quakers play on
historic Franklin Field, one of the oldest football
stadiums in the country, next to Harvard and
Tennessee. Over the past 9 years, the Quakers hold a
76-22 record in Div I-AA, with 5 Ivy championships.
Athletic achievements aside, it is quite a sight to
see 15,000 fans at Franklin field sing 'The Red and
the Blue," nonetheless perform on the astroturf of
Franklin Field!
BASKETBALL
Starting
from late November, the Penn Band attends most all of the games played by the
Men's Basketball team, as well as all home Women's Basketball games. At home,
the Quakers play in one of the most historic arenas in college basketball, The Palestra.
Both the Men's and Women's have made numerous appearances over the past decade. Year after year, the teams engage in a tough non-conference schedule, including national powers
like Syracuse, Wisconsin, Duke, North Carolina, and the Big Five Schools, to name a few.
During the past decade, the Band traveled to locations such as Seattle,
Winston-Salem, Boston, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Lubbock, Bridgeport,
Dallas, and Long
Island to root the Quakers on in the NCAA tournament.
